As a busy HR professional, you don’t always have the time to attend every webinar and conference out there to discover the latest news in social recruiting. Here’s a way to tap into and leverage that knowledge and expertise right from your mobile, laptop, tablet–you name it!–by following social recruiting influencers!

Social media has changed the way recruiters find and engage with talent. Talent acquisition and talent communities have been forever changed by advancements and trends in social media.

To get one step ahead of the game, follow these four influential thought leaders in this social HR world:

1. Steve Boese is an HR Technology Conference Co-Chair, Host of HR Happy Hour, and contributor to Fistful of Talent and HR Executive Magazine. You can tweet at @SteveBoese to get in touch. His recent articlefrom HR Executive Magazine this week asks the question, “How Fun is Your HR Tech?” What HR technology do you use? Would your own employees use it?

2. Susan Avello is a Social Marketing Consultant and Principal of Social Buzz Concepts. She’s a contributor to HR Virtual Cafe blog, SHRM WeKnowNext and Social Media Today. Follow her on Twitter to get the latest in social media recruiting trends at @susanavello. Her current post on HR Virtual Cafe talks about influence; you can read more here. Do you share your social recruiting knowledge to mentor others? Who do you follow that gives you advice, tips, shares experiences?

3. Trish McFarlane is an HR leader and strategist, blogger, speaker, and the co-founder of HRevolution and Women of HR. Her post on 7 Things To Do When You Get Home from a Conference lists some great tips on continuing to gain value after a recruiting event. And check out this HR Happy Hour podcastthat asks, “Can I Get a Referral?” (Bonus influencer alert: it also features Steve Boese from above!) How do you encourage employee referrals?

4. Craig Fisher is a speaker, blogger, recruiting strategist, and the CEO of Talentnet Live. His recent blog post describes how to use hashtags to search for jobs and connect with people on Twitter. And as of last month, you can also use hashtags on Facebook. Do you use hashtags in your social recruiting strategy?

These four recruiting experts are among the best when it comes to social recruiting, so be sure to follow them! Which other social recruiting rock stars do you follow? Who provides great insight and inspires you? I’d love to read your answers in the comments section.
